I used some of my concept sketches as reference for the anatomy of the character
I started by modelling the head and neck using the insert subtool option. I then inserted a few other spheres for the chest, abdomen and crotch respectively.
I used the move tool to shape them roughly and the hard polish brush to shape the crotch area.
I then constructed the legs and arms via the IMM Primitives brush, using reference to gauge how long they should be in relation to the head.
For reference, this is the body type I am aiming to create. It is hard to find reference for anorexic body types as most models are muscular to show off the anatomy, so this reference is very useful.
Finally, I added the sack on my characters back with the arms coming out of it.
Once my model was complete, I took it into Photoshop to test how many heads long it was. The usual height for a human is 7-8 heads and thankfully my model turned out to be 7 heads long.
In the future I may adjust the head size and so it is something I will have to keep checking every so often.
I also roughly modelled the skull accessory my character will have. The jaw is not perfect yet and will be adjusted.
Overall, I am happy with how my blockout turned out as I got the A-pose and the length correct. I think this is a solid base to start roughly modelling and refining muscles on.
