Creating The Final Render:
Creating a turntable video in ZBrush is so much easier than in Maya. In Maya, I had to set up a camera and manually position it around my model which was a pain to learn and understand. However, one advantage of this is the ability to have full control of the camera which means you can zoom in to places of interest on your model.
ZBrush comes with a built in ability to create a simple turntable render, which is what I was after for this assignment. With the click of a button, ZBrush automatically starts turning your model and rendering a video. The video outputted as an MPEG and so I did have to take it in to Premiere Pro to convert into an MP4.
Turntable Render:
Here is my final turntable render alongside some rendered shots.
Reflection / Conclusion:
Overall, I am satisfied with the process I took to create this 3D model, from the first concept sketches all the way to the final render. There are sections that if I had a chance I would like to redo, such as the UV mapping, however the experienced I gained from doing things for the first time such as UV mapping a complex model, is invaluable.
